HOW DO I GET TO LES BLANCARDS?
By train At your arrival on
Sunday at the TGV-railway station of Valence, you
take at 4.26 o'clock in the afternoon the bus direction Aubenas.
You get off in Aubenas at "Place de la Paix" (terminal station)
at 6.43 o'clock in the afternoon. If you wish we can - on appointment
only - meet you there for Laurac for a fee of 10 €. It is important
you are on time in Aubenas, since we have no other possibility to
meet you. At your depart on Saturday, you take the bus in Aubenas
at 11.20 o'clock in the morning, and you will arrive at Valence
TGV-railway station at 13.33 o'clock in the afternoon. Also in this
case we can, if necessary, see you off from Laurac to Aubenas for
a fee of 10 €.
By plane We don't want to encourage
you to travel by plane, because it is a factor of enormous environmental
pollution. However, if you don't see any other means to come to
us, we like to draw your attention to the fact that some airline
companies offer interesting prices for flights from overseas to
the airports of Nîmes, Marseille and Lyon,
where you can take a connection to Laurac by coach
or by train. Please check it out on Intenet or at your local travel
agency.

By car From direction Paris you take the highroad A-7, exit Loriol (number 16) to Privas next Aubenas and there Alès (D104). You skip the first exit Laurac, but you take the second. There you follow the signs La Tourette. The road passes a tennis court and rises. At the top you will see a sign Les Blancards. You turn to the right and follow this bendy road until you arrive at a forest. You continue this road and pass a big house at your left side. After a bend you see the gates of "Les Blancards". From direction Marseille you take the highroad A-7: exit Montélimar-Sud (number 18), then Montélimar, next Le Teil and there Aubenas. After Villeneuve-de-Berg you turn to the left to St.Germain and Vogüé. In Vogüé you turn to the right direction St.Sernin. In St.Sernin you turn to the left direction La Chapelle sous Aubenas. Next you turn to the left direction Alès (D104). See further the description under PARIS. If you are intending to make trips in the fine landscape of the southern Ardèche we strongly recommand you come by car. Give a thought to carpooling with other participants!
